My bathroom

One week after Matthew was born, David ripped up our master bathroom floor to investigate some water damaged. Then, the walled was torn out and then a hole cut in my closet to see under the bathtub, and then the siding was taken off the side of the house and some flashing put up once we figured out where the leak was coming from. Do you know where all the flies go during the winter? Underneath my siding!!! There were thousands of them. DISGUSTING!

Thankfully we have a secret weapon when it comes to home improvement projects: my dad! Dad come over several times to teach/help David find the leak and then repair it, and how to sheetrock, tape and mud, lay subflooring and then vinyl flooring. I finally found towels that I liked and now I have a finished bathroom with cute purple paint and an even cuter shower curtain. Once again superhero dad rescued us and I must say that David is becoming quite the handyman himself. So thank you both because I love my bathroom.

Gross!!!! I had this mental picture in my mind of millions of flies coming from the wall! The remodeled bathroom looks really nice though so that helped me forget about the flies. I didn't know you were a handy man. Good job! I also love the pictures of your family!

Impressive. That job seemed a bit overwhelming to me but yeah for husbands and Fathers! As for the flies, yeah every spring we can see them on our siding and only figured that they had to be living there because there are hundreds of them come March! Disgusting!

Hooray! You have a blog! I'm so excited to read all about the Parra family adventures. Cute header! You are the ultimate scrapbooker. I remember all your 50 billion (only a slight exaggeration there) photobooks. Do you do digital scrapbooking now?

P.S. I love that tent idea for General Conference. I've seen it on a few blogs now and am lamenting that I never saw it BEFORE conference. :0) Cute bathroom, too!
