And the birthday boy was very cute also.
At one Matthew could walk but he was lazy and rarely did. But the last two weeks he's really taken off and now walks all over the place. Right after his birthday he got his first ear infection and then had a high fever and rash from his MMR vaccination so he had a pretty sick February. He still hates eating food. Yogurt, crackers, and milk is all he wants to eat and occasionally I can shove other things down him but that is very rare indeed. He loves his blanket and loves to rub it on his face. He has the most awesome curly crazy hair in the world. At church everyone wants to feel his hair and by the time we get home is head is a fro ball from everyone rubbing his hair. Matthew is getting quite opinionated but unfortunately doesn't speak a word. Rather he resorts to high pitched squeals to let us know what he doesn't want. But we still love him to pieces and as Jacob pointed out the other day he is a part of our family and we can't exchange him for a baby sister.
Poor Adam had a tragic February. It started with a horrific ear infection that drained bloody discharge for 10 days and blew his ear drum and his tube out. Adam mostly just took it in stride and the only one crying was mom over the loss of his tube. However Adam still has a hole in his ear drum just without the tube in place. The only problem is that the perforation is about 1/4 of his ear drum and will most likely need surgery to repair. In the meantime no swimming and no baths. Last week for the first time Adam told me that he loved preschool and didn't want to go home. This is an absolute milestone for our mommy's boy who hates change. We are so proud of him.
Jacob also started February out with an ear infection but bounced right back. He passed his 100 day mark in Kindergarten and is just loving it. He is a smart smart social boy. He lost another tooth in February which was even more traumatic than losing the first and his first 6 year old molar came in also.
